The porch before--a small entry space that was rotting.

The porch after--a pleasant place to enjoy a nice day.

In the last week Sarah has become very interested in books. She likes to take them all off of her bookshelf and look at them. She picks out her favorite, crawls over to you, and holds up the book until you start to read it. She sits and turns the pages. It is very cute, but tiring after many hours (I am sure the mothers reading this can sympathize).
She continues to climb on anything and now is completely fascinated with the stairs. I tried to tire her our today for her nap and let her go up them four times. It didn't seem to slow her down or make her lose interest. She even climbed the 8 foot step ladder we had out on the porch while we were painting (not to worry, daddy was behind her). We are amazed at how fearless she is and recall how we were the same as children. I guess common sense won't kick in for another 20 years or so (or later if she's anything like us).
