When I get bigger I can play over there.....

We are fortunate enough to live across the street from a nice new playground. Since Sarah isn't big enough to play there yet, she likes to look out the window at the children playing, the cars passing, and anything else going on. It's a fun activity on a Saturday afternoon.

We've been plagued with sickness the past few weeks. I had a cold, then Sarah, then Greg. Then Sarah had a stomach bug, I caught a different cold, and then caught Sarah's bug. I heard the first few months at daycare are hard on a family with all the new maladies, but this has been harder than I thought!

So Sarah posed wonderfully for her Sear's portraits this weekend. Greg and I think she is on her way to being a model-she loves the camera and loves to throw-up! My brother and sister-in-law were nice enough to get us a membership to the portrait gallery for two years, so hopefully there are more pictures to come. Where's the picture?

I have a picture to post, but we are having problems with our computer right now and can't get anything to open. Greg innocently allowed Microsoft to install the latest version of Internet Explorer 7.0. It was all downhill from there. I had heard rumors at work to avoid it, but I had not passed the message on to Greg.

I didn't want you to think that I had started this site only to abandon it, so I will write anyway...

This weekend was extremely productive for us. Greg wasn't working, so Saturday we started to tackle our open projects list. We installed shelving in Sarah's closet, I (almost) finished sewing the curtains in our living room (thanks to my mom for cutting them and making it so I just have to sew a straight line), and we started to build the radiator covers for upstairs. Although the last two are not complete, they are at least started and should be completed within the next few weeks. We felt very accomplished since they have been on our "to do" list for over a year.

My friend, Kat, who studied abroad with me in Australia and influenced me with her wonderful touring skills to choose Richmond as our relocation city 5+ years ago, had a baby girl last weekend. I realized after seeing a newborn how much Sarah has grown. Greg picked up an extra shift on Sunday, so Sarah and I spent part of the day making a meal for Kat and her family to help with the transition. I know how much Greg and I appreciated the extra meals when we were still adjusting to being parents.
